it all started here… tribantura – lack of sense

by the beat girl on October 7, 2011

OK, digging DEEP into the archives for this one. There are a number of relatively unknown tracks that I think greatly influenced my musical taste to this day. When I was a senior in high school (yes, do the math on that one), a DJ friend gave me a mix tape (still trying to figure out my age?) called “Welcome to the Technodrome”. This soon became one of the most worn out tapes in my arsenal. This song, by German industrial synth-pop band, Tribantura, was on that tape. The song was eventually released as a Razormaid remix (oh how I adored almost ANY Razormaid remix – ahem… Depeche Mode’s “World In My Eyes” or Marc Almond’s “Tears Run Rings”). Razormaid mixes are definitely worth a post topic or two themselves. Anyway, turns out Frank Ruckert of Tribantura recently posted the original video himself on YouTube a few years back. Other songs on that original Welcome to the Technodrome tape included Axodry’s “You”, Cetu Javu’s “Situations” and Robotiko Rejekto’s “Rejeckto!”
